Location: ReForm Biologics, Cambridge, MA

Position: Research Scientist

Duration: October 2014-September 2015

Description: Initially, I started doing molecular modeling as a hobby to improve my skills in understanding physical situations on a molecular scale.   I learning how to use the software GROMACS from my friend and slowly started constructing computer simulations of proteins in water-based environments.  I realized this skill could be highly useful when I started working for ReForm Biologics, a new company started by Soane Labs.  I used molecular modeling to demonstrate interactions between protiens and their environment, including any small molecules that might be present.  Because I was working on laboratory formulations at the time and could incorporate experimental and theoretical results, it allowed me to progress quickly and gain intuition about different formulation pathways.

Key Achievements:

  • Created molecular models that settled deals with outside companies looking for formulation solutions
